February 14, 2018 will forever be remembered as one of, if not the most, tragic day in the history of Broward County. In March 2018, the City of Parkland hired the Conceptual Communications team to provide crisis communications and public relations support services. Today, we continue to work alongside city officials and staff to ensure the City's media responses are timely and strategic in nature to better ensure the entire MSD community is always put first and respected as they continue their healing process.
Dubbed the “Second Gayest City” in the United States, the City of Wilton Manors offers its diverse population of approximately 12,000 all the benefits of a big city while maintaining a cozy, community feeling. Residents and visitors alike enjoy varied shopping destinations, hip restaurants and bars, a burgeoning arts community and tons of community events, as well as natural waterways perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and other outdoor activities. To help the City of Wilton Manors develop their distinct identity and bolster their business community, Conceptual Communications has provided a comprehensive mix of services that began with an Integrated Marketing and Communications Plan.
You won't find a more perfectly charming beach town on the east coast of the U.S. than Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. The Town called upon Conceptual Communications to put a strategic three-year tourism marketing plan in place. Once reliant on print media, the Conceptual Communications team digitized the Town's efforts by developing and implementing a plan that leverages the power of social media influencers, Instagram, YouTube, audience display and Google Ads, and strategic public relations opportunities that have led to national media coverage in publications such as the Boston Globe Travel Section and Thrill List's Matador.
Helping local communities is at the heart of what we do. Likewise, the Broward League of Cities is dedicated to raising awareness and resolving issues facing all 31 of Broward County's municipalities. The Conceptual Communications joined the Broward League team to help expand its voice by managing the organization's social media presence, crafting articles and press releases for media outlets, and assisting with website and event management for their annual gala.
Conceptual Communications is proud to provide public relations, branding, and digital media services to the City of Stamford and Stamford Department of Health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Conceptual Communications team spearheaded health messaging, including social media campaigns, a podcast, op-eds and more, to educate the Stamford community on how to stay safe. For the City of Stamford's Mayor's Office, the Conceptual Communications team manages the City's digital presence to provide a cohesive message across all channels.
Legal Aid Service of South Florida, and their sister organization Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, provide free legal services to at risk populations in Broward County. While they’re phenomenal at the work they do, they were having trouble bringing awareness of their services to those who needed them the most…and that’s where we come in to play. From developing key messaging for constituents and stakeholders to building awareness of the legal resources available to the local community, we helped both organizations spotlight the critical work they do, nominate them for awards, and help get their name out to some of Broward’s most deserving residents.

The Conceptual Communications team provides crisis communication, public relations, and digital media services for the city's utilities department. The utilities department is committed to transparency and our team is proud to help them fulfill that commitment to city stakeholders and members of the media.
Proactive public messaging, that is both ADA-compliant and accessible, is key to ensuring a community stays informed while major infrastructure improvements are occurring. The Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority called upon the creative team at Conceptual Communications to spearhead public messaging associated with replacing the transmission main in Islamorada.
At the corner of opportunity, progress, and innovation is the Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). The CRA enlisted the help of the Conceptual Communications team to assist with rebranding the CRA and helping promote the City's two South Beach Wine and Food Festival events in 2023- Hallandale Beach was the ONLY city in Broward County to host SOBEWFF events in 2023! Efforts included pitching stories to local and national media stations, social media management, graphic creation, and media ad placements.
